Family history

So, my grandmother (on my dad’s side) needs to go on dialysis, in order to take a certain medicine for her heart. She has had a heart attack, has type 2 diabetes, and now she has fluid in her lungs.

My other grandmother (on my mother’s side) passed away last July of a heart attack, and was taking medicine for her high blood pressure up until then.

My grandfather (on my mother’s side) had a quadruple bypass in the last fifteen years before he passed of cancer.

My grandfather (on my dad’s side) passed due to carbon monoxide poisoning causing him to have several small cardiac events.

And here I sit, 150lbs overweight, and borderline diabetic.

I need to get my act together, ‘cause my future ain’t looking too good.

so… how ass backwards is it that (according to some of the research I’ve seen) that men prefer a woman around a size 12 and that women think they should look like a 6 and that the average size for a woman is 16?

so the women that men are really attracted to won’t think they’re attractive and thereby decrease their attractiveness (in attitude or behavior) because they don’t believe that men will find them attractive due to their size which is untrue because men really like a woman around a size 12?

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?

low self esteem is not sexy. don’t buy into the hype. love your body. if you don’t love your own body-you’ll not take care of it. healthy is the new sexy… whatever the size.

confidence… there is nothing sexier than that.

Dear Voice-in-the-back-of-my-mind,

I hear your excuses and negativity.

But I don’t believe you.
